IO Global Cookie Policy

How IO Global uses cookies and similar technologies on the platform.

Effective Date: October 1, 2026 Last Updated: October 1, 2026

1. About This Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how IO Global Group, Inc., a Delaware corporation (“IO Global,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), uses cookies and similar technologies on ioglobalgroup.com and the IO Global platform (the “Platform”). It supplements our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data generally.

2. What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They let a site recognize your device, remember your preferences, understand how the site is used, and deliver and measure advertising.

We also use technologies that work similarly:

  • Pixels and web beacons — small transparent images or code snippets that record whether a page was viewed or an email was opened;
  • Local storage — data stored in your browser that persists between sessions;
  • Software development kits (SDKs) — code in mobile applications that performs comparable functions; and
  • Server logs — records our servers keep of requests made to them.

In this Policy, “cookies” covers all of these.

First-party cookies are set by IO Global. Third-party cookies are set by a provider we work with, such as an analytics or advertising partner, and that provider may be able to recognize your device across other sites.

3. Categories of Cookies We Use

3.1 Strictly necessary

These cookies are required for the Platform to function and cannot be switched off. They support authentication and session management, security and fraud prevention, load balancing, and remembering your cookie choices. We set these on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a secure service; they do not require your consent.

3.2 Functional

These cookies remember your preferences — language, region, display settings, and interface choices — so that the Platform works the way you left it. Where consent is required we set them only with your consent; elsewhere we rely on our legitimate interest in providing a usable service. Disabling them does not break the Platform but does degrade the experience.

3.3 Analytics and performance

These cookies help us understand how the Platform is used: which pages and features are visited, how long sessions last, where errors occur, and how users move through search, booths, and listings. We use this to diagnose problems and improve the product. Analytics data is used in aggregate, and we do not use activity inside the logged-in Platform to build advertising profiles.

3.4 Advertising and targeting

These cookies are used to deliver advertising that is relevant to your business interests, to limit how often you see the same advertisement, and to measure whether a campaign worked. They may be set by advertising networks and social media platforms and may be used to recognize your device on other sites.

They operate on our public marketing pages. Your activity inside the logged-in Platform — searches, supplier and booth visits, and requests for quotation — is excluded from advertising and audience-building, as stated in Section 5.3 of the Privacy Policy and Section 6 of the Buyer Terms.

Use of these cookies constitutes a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information under California law and “targeted advertising” under other U.S. state privacy laws. Section 5 of this Policy explains how to opt out.

4. Cookie Inventory

A complete, current inventory of every cookie we set — its name, provider, category, purpose, whether it is first-party or third-party, and how long it lasts — is maintained in the cookie preference center, reachable from the Cookie Settings link in the footer of every page.

We maintain the inventory there rather than in this document because cookies change more often than policies do, and an inventory that is out of date is worse than no inventory at all. The preference center is the authoritative record.

Our current providers by category are:

Category Providers
Strictly necessary IO Global (first-party), our cloud infrastructure and content delivery providers
Functional IO Global (first-party)
Analytics and performance Google Analytics; HubSpot
Advertising and targeting Google Ads; HubSpot; social media advertising platforms

A note on providers that appear in more than one category. Some providers offer both analytics and advertising products. Where a provider appears in both rows, we configure its analytics tag so that data collected inside the logged-in Platform is used for analytics only and is not passed to that provider’s advertising or audience products.

The providers listed here and in the preference center are also identified in our subprocessor list at ioglobalgroup.com/legal/subprocessors.

5. Your Choices

5.1 Cookie preference center

You can accept or reject each non-essential category, and change your mind at any time, using the Cookie Settings link in the footer of every page. Your choice is stored on your device and applies to that browser.

5.2 Consent in the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland

Where required by law, including in the EEA, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, we obtain your consent before setting non-essential cookies. Non-essential cookies are not set until you give that consent. Rejecting is as easy as accepting, and you may withdraw consent at any time through the preference center with no detriment to your use of the Platform.

5.3 Global Privacy Control

We detect and honor the Global Privacy Control and other opt-out preference signals that meet applicable legal requirements. When we receive such a signal from your browser or device, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale and sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising for that browser or device, and — where you are logged in — for your account across all IO Global services.

You do not need to be logged in, submit a form, or verify your identity for us to honor the signal. You can enable the Global Privacy Control through a supporting browser or browser extension; see globalprivacycontrol.org.

5.4 Your Privacy Choices

U.S. residents may also opt out of the sale and sharing of personal information using the Your Privacy Choices link in the footer of every page, or by following the process in Section 10 of the Privacy Policy.

5.5 Do Not Track

Some browsers transmit a legacy “Do Not Track” signal. There is no common industry or legal standard for Do Not Track, and we do not respond to those signals. We do honor the Global Privacy Control as described in Section 5.3.

5.6 Browser controls

Most browsers let you view, block, and delete cookies through their settings. Blocking all cookies, including strictly necessary ones, will prevent you from logging in and will stop parts of the Platform from working. Instructions are available in the help documentation for your browser.

6. How Long Cookies Last

Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain until they expire or you delete them. Expiry periods vary by cookie and are listed in the preference center. We do not set any advertising or analytics cookie with a lifespan longer than 13 months, and we refresh consent in the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland at least every 12 months.

7. Changes to This Policy

We update this Policy when our use of cookies changes and revise the “Last Updated” date above. The cookie inventory in the preference center is updated whenever a cookie is added, changed, or removed. We review this Policy at least every 12 months.
